Climate Change and Natural Disaster
Climate change intensifies droughts, floods, and storms, particularly in vulnerable regions such as Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. These disasters displace families and hinder efforts to share the Gospel. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” (Psalm 24:1) “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.” (Psalm 107:29). Pray for affected communities to see God as their refuge and deliverer (Nahum 1:7). Ask God to raise up Christian witnesses among relief workers to offer hope (Matthew 5:16).
Rise of Secularism and Hostility to Christianity
In many developed countries, secular ideologies are growing, and there is increasing hostility towards Christian values and missions. This creates barriers to spreading the Gospel. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5). Pray for Christians to shine as lights in secular societies and boldly proclaim the truth (Philippians 2:15). Pray for hearts hardened to God to be softened and transformed by His Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26).
